Want to give your customers a little extra incentive to buy from your stores? Coupons are a type of discount given to customers which they can use to save more when they purchase. It is a promotional strategy to entice customers to buy your products.   
 
 

You can manage your coupons in your Mibo Control Panel > Marketing > Coupons.    


Adding Coupon    

  • Click Add on the Coupons panel.    
  • In the new page, enter the main coupon details such as voucher name, voucher code, available period and maximum quantity.

    Note : Changing the value of the expiry type to fixed date or fixed duration from date distributed will require you to indicate the expiry date.      


  • To add a thumbnail image on the coupon, click on the thumbnail section.

    Tips : To best display your coupon, it is advisable to add a thumbnail image. See our article about uploading images.


  • Voucher code are the unique codes you are going to use for the coupon. To set value for Display Code, you can choose Mibo Code or Custom Code.

    System default is the default voucher code auto-generated by system.


    Custom Code type are customised codes from your POS or Ecommerce system. Selecting custom code type allows you to upload customised codes by doing the following:
    • Select custom on voucher code display.
    • Click Upload xls.
    • Download the template of CSV import file.
    • Using the template, update the file that will match the code you prefer.
       

      Note : Make sure to upload the right amount of voucher codes on the template. The total count of voucher codes inside the uploaded template must not be less than the maximum quantity of the coupon created.  


    • Upload the template by simply dragging your modified template from your computer and drop them on the panel.



  • Coupon Template  - select the coupon template to use for Email delivery. You can edit the System Default template and save your own template
    • In the template editor, you can select system tags to enter dynamic data into your email.
    • When you select a text object in the email editor, you can see the Merge Tags option to select tags to enter into the email In the text 
    • You can also manually type the tags into the Subject field or the Image URL fields. The merge tags are entered using the dynamic field name with curly brackets { }. For example, voucher name is entered as {VoucherName}
    • Most of the Merge Tag fields are self-explanatory. Some special tag fields that need special mention are
      • Voucher Image URL - URL of voucher thumbnail image. This be placed in the Imge URL field of an image content
      • Voucher Barcode - URL for MIBO Code displayed in barcode format. This should be placed in the Image URL field of an image content
      • Voucher QRCode - URL for MIBO Code displayed in QRCode format. This should be placed in the Image URL field of an image content
      • Voucher Code Text - MIBO Code in displayed in text format
      • Voucher Custom Barcode - URL for Custom Code displayed in barcode format. This should be placed in the Image URL field of an image content
      • Voucher Custom QRCode - URL for Custom Code displayed in QRCode format. This should be placed in the Image URL field of an image content
      • Voucher Custom Code Text - Custom Code in displayed in text format

  • Tags are the keywords to be used that will help your customers search for your coupon more efficiently. To add tags simply do the following: 
    • Input the keyword on the text box.
    • Press enter.

      You can apply multiple tags for every coupon. Repeat the same steps for additional tags.
  • To publish your coupon, just tick the checkbox beside published. You can also save your coupon as a draft by leaving the published field unchecked.
  • Click Ok to save your coupon.

Updating Coupon

You can update your coupon by doing the following:

  • Click the name of the coupon on the Coupons panel.

  • In the new page, update the coupon details.
  • Click Ok to save the details.


Configuring Coupon

There are many strategic ways to offer your products. It can be by giving your customers a discount, cash vouchers or by offering them to buy one product and get a free product for it.


You can configure your coupon in the following ways:

  • Click on the gear icon on the bottom left corner of the coupon you want to configure on the Coupons panel.  Configure Coupon 

Adding Configuration

Although there are different types of coupons, you can only add one type on your coupon.

  • In the new tab that opens, click Add on the Coupons Config panel to add configuration.
  • In the popup that opens, a form for coupon type will be shown.

    Since there are different types of coupons to offer, changing the type field will hide or show certain fields on the form depending on the details it needs. Types of coupons are as follows:

    Discount
    Customers are more likely to rush in and look around in your store by offering them discounts. You can create discount coupon by doing the following:
    • Select Discount on the dropdown.
    • Enter the other main coupon type details such as campaign period, value and product.
    • Click Save to save your discount coupon details.

Cash Voucher

Cash vouchers are used to purchase products just like cash. You can create cash voucher coupon by doing the following:

  • Select Cash Voucher on the dropdown.
  • Enter the amount of the voucher.
  • Click Save to save your cash voucher details.

Buy One Free One

Another common strategy is the Buy One Free One. It is s way of encouraging more sales of your product by offering customers another product for free if they purchase one of your product. You can create a buy one free one coupon by doing the following:

  • Select Buy One Free One on the dropdown.
  • Enter the main category and free category.
  • Click Save to save your buy one free one details.


Updating Configuration

You might want to try some new strategies in offering your product. You can simply edit your coupon type by doing the following:

  • Click Edit on the same row of the coupon you want to update inside the Coupons Config panel.
  • Apply the modification you prefer.
  • Click Save to save your changes.Edit Coupon Type


Removing Configuration

You might want to remove your product offering for a while. You can simply remove your coupon type by doing the following:

  • Click Delete on the same row of the coupon you want to remove inside the Coupons Config panel.
  • Agree on the confirmation message of deletion by clicking Yes or click No if you want to retain the coupon type.Delete Coupon Type

  • Click on the trash bin icon on the bottom right corner of the coupon you want to remove.
  • Agree on the confirmation message of deletion by clicking Yes or click No if you want to retain the coupon.

Giving Coupon to Specific recipient list 

You can send your coupon to list of recipients:

  • Click on Recipient iconon the bottom middle of the coupon you want to send to selected list.
  • New page will be open to let you upload your desire list , Click on Give coupon button. and upload your recipient list. 
  • you can upload your list or download template to prepare your recipient list, after successful upload Mibo will show the number of total coupon recipient for you to cross check and make sure the number is match with excel list has been uploaded  
  • Click on Save button in order to send coupon based on recipient list 

Note:  you can only upload the list within available period of coupon and upon of saving Give Coupons Mibo immediately send the coupon to recipients
